Info on Kosu Cave



Kosuis one of Korea's most famous limestone caves. The lime formation into which this cave was formed is 400-500 million years old and the cave itself is estimasted to be around 150,000 years old. This cave is noted for its terrain, cave coral, aragonite, and other mineral materials, animals and plants. This 5576 feet long grotto is in its maturity stage and offers scenic rows of stalactite and stalagmite formations created by eroded shelves and subterranean water. It gets its share of visitors every day, especially during the hot summer months.
